Legitimate McDermott Recruiters or placement agencies contracted by
McDermott WILL NOT CHARGE APPLICANTS ANY FEES, to process applications. If
a Recruiter or a placement agency requests payment of any fees, then such
Recruiter or placement agency is NOT working for McDermott and is NOT
authorized to locate or identify candidates on behalf of McDermott. During
our recruitment process, you will always meet in person or virtually (via
video call), or speak on the phone with a McDermott employee or
representative for an interview before a formal offer is made.
McDermott will not ask candidates to provide banking information,
personal documents or additional personally identifiable information (such
as date of birth or SSN/National ID number) during the
recruitment/interview process. Some of these items may be needed as part
of our formal onboarding process, which only takes place after a formal
offer is accepted by the candidate. McDermott will not ask candidates to
download applications or create accounts in instant messaging applications
(i.e Trillian, Google Chat).
All written communication will be sent from a company email address or
communicated by an HR representative of the company. If you receive
communication from Recruiters/agencies or employment offers that look
suspicious (e.g. asking for any fees in relation to your application,
offering employment without an interview being conducted, position being
offered is not advertised in the McDermott Careers page, etc.), you may
contact us to validate these
through international.careers@mcdermott.com. (This email will
only be used to VALIDATE information; No job offers will be distributed
from this email address).
For US residents, if you experience fraud in a job offer, we encourage
you to report it to the Federal Trade Commission at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
